Right- so the Jayhawker (in burnt sugar) are my ninth(!) pair of Cole Haans, and they are up to the usual impeccable Cole-Haan standards of quality, fit and finish. Lovely, butter soft suede, fantastic insole and lovely classic leather heel and stitching around the base of the shoe- No surprises there. Does tend to run a bit big so go for a half size smaller than your usual C-H size and you should be sorted :)
If you are reading this review the following probably goes without saying, but just for completeness I recommend that you treat the suede for waterproofness and that you also get a heel protector of some sort fitted as C-H leather heels (at least for me) tend to wear quickly. Do I even need to mention the need for some good cedar shoe trees given the quality of the leather? Nope...Didn't think so...
Tremendous pair of shoes in a rarely seen, yet beautiful colour that have already garnered loads of compliments, especially when paired with some of C-H's colourful laces, a nice leather jacket and some interesting socks. Like I said, nothing about this shoe will surprise the regular Cole-Haan customer- Of course, this is exactly why there are regular Cole Haan Customers, no?

I love these shoes, and they look great! I have a different 11.5 size Cole Haan shoe, so I ordered these in a 11.5 because of by other shoe. These boots run about .5 to a whole size too big. I should have tried a 10.5 or 11 size, but now they are sold out.

These definitely run large - I normally wear an 11, so I ordered a 10.5. I think I could have even sized down another half size and tried a 10, but I will just wear thick socks instead. I really love the detailed broguing on these boots. They look great with jeans and chinos and are really comfortable out of the box, but I can't wait until they are broken in.

These boots went on like butter - they were so comfortable, even at the first wear. I bought my usual size despite the salesperson indicating that he heard they run 1/2 size large. I think I agree but am a little wide and do not mind some slippage inside my shoes (actually I think I prefer it). The styling of these is spot on, I can see them in any casual setting with jeans and/or khakis/wool trousers, etc. They may even work with a more casual suit like corduroy or something similarly rugged/unrefined. Overall, a great purchase that I feel will only get better as they wear and age.
